Curiosity is embedded in us. It’s what fuels our development and our progress as individuals and as groups. It fuels our aspirations and our choices. Speaking of which, hopefully you’re choosing to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on social media.
OK - so for some, curiosity is likely joined by a purposeful pursuit, leading to discovery and storytelling, and I’m guessing that this has long been a part of journalist Megha Rajagopalan’s personal story arc - the one that recently lead to her and her team at BuzzFeed News to win the 2021 Pulitzer Prize in International Reporting for her reporting on the Uighur community in China. Megha is orginally from the states and now is based in London, but her journey has taken her across the globe to report on a variety of human rights issues, conflicts, and vulnerable people.
We caught up last week to chat about her reporting, about her preparation and outlook including a playfully understated text from her dad that Megha tweeted out….fully relatable by nearly all of us...and I asked her to reflect a bit on it...
