Snigdha Sur...on leading the JUGGERNAUT in 2023
Download MP3I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We as global Indians and global South Asians have a messy and equally beautiful existence! And speaking of beautiful, thanks again for listening to the podcast and sharing it with your family and friends. If you’re enjoying these, I hope you can share a kind review or rating and follow us on social media @drabhaydandekar. Snigdha was born in India, grew up in the Bronx and in Queens, went to Harvard and Yale, and has worked and lived in both Mumbai and New York. She started The Juggernaut as an emailed newsletter of South Asian focused articles, and with her team has grown and nurtured it into a thriving digital publication, with a curation of original reported news and stories. The range certainly fits my appetite: from why India’s time zone is a half hour off others to reclaiming the tiffin to Rishi Sunak to Naatu Naatu going wrong at the Oscars. We caught up recently for a broad conversation about the marketplace, about our diversity, and even about empire building, but I started by asking her what she’s been most surprised by when it comes to storytelling in our community…
